Appointment news - 5.9.2016
Keith Bonnici, M.Sc. (Econ), aged 49, has been appointed Investment Director in Finnish Industry Investment’s Venture Capital team with effect from 29 August 2016. He is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities, negotiating the associated contracts, developing portfolio companies, creating value in the investment portfolio, and enhancing relationships with co-investors.
Keith Bonnici moved to FII from Veraventure Ltd, where he held the position of investment manager. Prior to that he was an entrepreneur in the ICT sector and he has also worked as a technology consultant in Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation).
“Over the last seven years I’ve been making investments in Finnish companies in their seed and pre-seed phases. The biggest challenge faced by even the best of these companies is obtaining adequate Series A and Series B financing. I believe Finnish Industry Investment plays a central role in this, and will continue to do so in the future. By teaming up with other venture capital investors, both from Finland and abroad, we want to ensure that the best Finnish companies receive sufficient overall financing to achieve international growth and success,” comments Keith Bonnici.
